Pardee School of Global Studies at Boston University continued on November 6, 2017\u00a0with a discussion with\u00a0Lisa Frumin (Pardee &#8217;08), Leadership and Career Coach at The Heart Alchemist.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>During her\u00a0presentation, entitled &#8220;Land Your Dream Job Without Applying, Everything You Need to Know about Networking,&#8221;\u00a0<span>\u00a0Frumin discussed how to manage the job application process and implement her simple 5-step system to have a powerful networking conversation.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Frumin outlined some of the difficulties that young professionals face when networking or interviewing for the first time as well as how to meet these challenges head on.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;It often can feel very transactional. A lot of people as a result tend to be stuck in their heads, and they can&#8217;t be focused on what they actually want out of the conversation which is talking from\u00a0their heart &#8212; being passionate about what it is they really want to be doing,&#8221; Frumin said. &#8220;All of you are at Boston University because you&#8217;re passionate about International Relations so you want to be showing your passion when interviewing or networking instead of speaking from fear.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><span>The Pardee Works series\u00a0focuses on bringing\u00a0professionals currently working in the diverse field of global studies to present for and network with Pardee School students.
