Pardee School of Global Studies in Singapore on January 6, 2017. Dean Najam who was in Singapore for the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/pardeeschool\/2017\/01\/09\/pardee-school-at-apsia-deans-meeting\/\">annual meeting of the Deans of APSIA schools of international affairs<\/a>, used the occasion to meet BU alumni in Singapore and introduce them to the Pardee School and its mission and vision.<\/p>\n<p>The well-attended event was organized with the\u00a0BU Alumni Association in Singapore and its President Panai\u00a0Avasadanond (ENG \u201990, \u201991) introduced Dean Najam. Following the presentation of a short introductory video on the Pardee School, Dean Najam talked about the the school&#8217;s\u00a0aspirations to become a leading school of global studies. He pointed out that this is a particularly fortunate moment for the School to be established as he talked about the exciting research and teaching being done by its faculty.<\/p>\n<p>This was followed by a talk by Najam on &#8220;What President Trump Means for the World?&#8221;. Najam began up summarizing some of the key ideas raised by Pardee School faculty on the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/pardeeschool\/2016\/12\/31\/what-was-the-top-global-story-of-2016\/\">&#8220;top story of 2016&#8221;<\/a> and went on to present his own ideas on what foreign policy directions may be\u00a0expected from a Donald Trump presidency.
