Pardee School of Global Studies at Boston University, hosted a hackathon on December 2, 2016 to brainstorm and discuss\u00a0digital solutions for refugee human trafficking.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>The hackathon was attended by about 40 people from the Pardee School, the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/law\/\">Boston University School of Law<\/a>, the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.bu.edu\/hic\/\">Boston University\u00a0Rafik B. Hariri Institute for Computing and Computational Science and Engineering<\/a>,\u00a0the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/hic\/about-hic\/sail\/\">Boston University Software and Application Innovation Lab<\/a> and the private sector.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/pardeeschool\/profile\/kaija-schilde\/\">Kaija Schilde<\/a><span>, Assistant Professor of International Relations at the Pardee School, presented to\u00a0the group.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>The event was aimed at finding digital solutions t<span>o provide a secure system to ensure continuous communication between each NGO and the refugees it is in contact with.
