Pardee School of Global Studies at Boston University<a href=\"https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/pardeeschool\">,<\/a>\u00a0<span>has issued a call for papers for their 2017 student research conference, to\u00a0be held February 24-25, 2017.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>Each year in the spring semester, the PGC\u00a0organizes a graduate student conference, centered around a theme chosen by the students.\u00a0 The conference draws graduate students from the many colleges and universities throughout the Boston area and beyond. The 2017 conference will be the sixth annual conference.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>The theme of the 2017 conference is \u201cWalls or Bridges? Restructuring for a Better Tomorrow.\u201d\u00a0Papers should address the thematic focus by identifying dynamic\u00a0changes taking place globally and assessing their potential to impact relationships around the\u00a0world. Submissions must be the product of graduate research, either at the MA or PhD level.\u00a0Expected papers should be between 20 and 50 pages double-spaced, and presentations will be 15\u00a0<\/span><span>minutes with time for questions afterwards.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Panels will be organized into themes based on accepted papers. Proposed panel topics include trade and finance, media and communication, environmental governance, human development, political systems and ideologies, and religion and beliefs.<\/p>\n<p>Abstracts, along with a resume, should be sent to <a href=\"pardeegc.bu@gmail.com\">pardeegc.bu@gmail.com<\/a>\u00a0by January 18, 2017. Do not hesitate to contact the Pardee Graduate Council with any questions.
