Pardee School of Global Studies at Boston University, hosted a Veteran&#8217;s Day Breakfast on November 11, 2016 to honor those who have served the United States in the military as well as those who are currently on active duty.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Officers of the Pardee Graduate Council were joined by Pardee School faculty members including <span>Director of Graduate Studies<\/span>\u00a0Amb. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/pardeeschool\/profile\/robert-g-loftis\/\">Bob Loftis<\/a>, Professor <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/pardeeschool\/profile\/igor-lukes\/\">Igor Lukes<\/a>, Professor <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/pardeeschool\/profile\/joseph-wippl\/\">Joseph Wippl<\/a>, and Professor <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/pardeeschool\/profile\/john-woodward\/\">John D Woodward Jr<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Guests donned red poppy boutonnieres\u00a0as a tribute to those who have given their lives in the service of their country.<\/p>\n<p><span>The Pardee Graduate Council organizes a variety of activities to enrich students\u2019 lives, including dinners with faculty members and social events. Each year during the Spring Semester, the Pardee Graduate Council organizes a graduate student conference, centered around a theme chosen by the students.\u00a0 The conference draws graduate students from the many colleges and universities throughout the Boston area and beyond.
