A recent study by the\u00a0Global Economic Governance Initiative<\/a>\u00a0(GEGI), a research initiative at the Frederick S. Pardee School of Global Studies, was recently quoted in\u00a0Forbes.<\/a><\/em><\/p>\n

The article, entitled “The U.S. And China Are Embracing A Greener Future At Home. Are They Doing The Same Abroad?<\/a>” cited the GEGI study\u00a0Fueling Growth and Financing Risk: The Benefits and Risks of China\u2019s Development Finance in the Global Energy Sector<\/em><\/a>.<\/p>\n

According to a <\/span>recent study<\/a> by Boston University\u2019s Global Economic Governance Initiative, from 2007 through 2014 global assets of China\u2019s largest delivery mechanisms for FDI\u2014its Development Bank and Export-Import Bank\u2014totaled $684 billion. This is roughly equal to the global assets of the World Bank and all of the regional multilateral development banks combined.<\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

GEGI\u00a0is a research program of the<\/span>\u00a0<\/a><\/strong>Center for Finance, Law & Policy,<\/a>\u00a0the\u00a0<\/span>Frederick S. Pardee Center for the Study of the Longer-Range Future<\/a>, and the\u00a0<\/span>Frederick S. Pardee School of Global Studies<\/a>.<\/strong> It\u00a0was\u00a0founded in 2008 to advance policy-relevant knowledge about governance for financial stability, human development, and the environment.
