Pardee School of Global Studies<\/a> gathered for their second annual faculty retreat on September 1, 2015, to focus on planning for the new academic years and the long-term strategic goals and priorities for the School.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"\/pardeeschool\/files\/2015\/09\/faculty_retreat_3_resized.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" src=\"\/pardeeschool\/files\/2015\/09\/faculty_retreat_3_resized.jpg\" alt=\"faculty_retreat_3_resized\" width=\"545\" height=\"317\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-18576\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/pardeeschool\/files\/2015\/09\/faculty_retreat_3_resized.jpg 545w, https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/pardeeschool\/files\/2015\/09\/faculty_retreat_3_resized-516x300.jpg 516w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 545px) 100vw, 545px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The retreat brought together the full-time faculty of\u00a0\u00a0the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/pardeeschool\/unplaced-pages-holder\/international-studies\/\">Division of International Studies<\/a>\u00a0(DIS) and Directors in the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/pardeeschool\/unplaced-pages-holder\/regional-studies\/\">Division of Regional and Thematic Studies<\/a>\u00a0(DRS). Discussions were led by\u00a0Pardee School Inaugural Dean <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/pardeeschool\/profile\/adil-najam\/\">Adil Najam<\/a>, Assocaite Dean William Grimes, and Chair of the Council of DRS Directors Prof. Tim Longman.\u00a0College of Arts and Sciences <a href=\"http:\/\/www.bu.edu\/cas\/about\/message-from-the-dean\/\">Dean Ann Cudd<\/a> joined the retreat in the afternoon.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"\/pardeeschool\/files\/2015\/09\/faculty_retreat_2_resized.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" src=\"\/pardeeschool\/files\/2015\/09\/faculty_retreat_2_resized.jpg\" alt=\"faculty_retreat_2_resized\" width=\"545\" height=\"317\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-18575\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/pardeeschool\/files\/2015\/09\/faculty_retreat_2_resized.jpg 545w, https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/pardeeschool\/files\/2015\/09\/faculty_retreat_2_resized-516x300.jpg 516w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 545px) 100vw, 545px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The focus of the retreat was the Pardee School.
