Pardee School of Global Studies joins the rest of the university as BU Global Programs officially kicks off the Third Annual <a href=\"http:\/\/www.bu.edu\/globalprograms\/discover\/events\/international-education-week\/\"> International Education Week<\/a> (IEW) on Monday, Nov. 10.<\/p>\n<p>Dubbed as a celebration of BU&#8217;s global engagement, the event features more than 75 lectures, workshops, film screenings, panel discussions, open houses, live performances, cooking demonstrations, and community and alumni events to be held in various locations in BU&#8217;s Charles River Campus and the Medical Campus. These include many organized by and featuring faculty and affiliates at the Pardee School and its various regional and thematic centers.<\/p>\n<p>The IEW&#8217;s anchor event, &#8220;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.bu.edu\/globalprograms\/discover\/events\/international-education-week\/global-conversations-2014\/\">Global Conversations,<\/a>&#8221; is a series of informal discussions that are meant to &#8220;spark new dialogue around &#8216;big picture&#8217; global themes.&#8221; This year&#8217;s IEW will feature four &#8216;Global Conversations,&#8217; three of which will feature faculty from the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/pardeeschool\">Pardee School of Global Studies<\/a>\u00a0and from its affiliated regional and thematic centers. These include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>&#8220;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.bu.edu\/globalprograms\/discover\/events\/international-education-week\/global-conversations-2014\/\">Cuban-U.S. Relations: What\u2019s Up?\u00a0 What\u2019s Next?<\/a>&#8221;\u00a0<\/strong><em>Monday, Nov. 10<\/em>\u00a0(11:45 a.m. &#8211; 1:15 p.m.): Amb.
