Pardee School of Global Studies at Boston University understands that global climate change policy is a difficult topic and feels that it is made all the more difficult in the prevailing political climate of Washington, DC.<\/p>\n<p>Commenting\u00a0on the challenges faced by US President Barack Obama as he seeks forward movement on global climate change policy, Prof. Selin points out in\u00a0a news story in\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.usnews.com\/news\/articles\/2014\/08\/27\/obama-charges-ahead-on-climate-change-policy\"><em>US News &amp; World Report<\/em>\u00a0<\/a>(August 27, 2014)<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cYou are likely not to see countries going beyond their comfort zone,\u201d Selin says. \u201cIf you have sort of serious negotiations, it\u2019s sort of a give and take around commitments\u2014you can see countries being pushed a little further than they had a thought.
