US National Security (Professor).<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0We invite\u00a0applications for a position at the rank of tenured professor in the field of contemporary\u00a0(post\u00ad-1945) US national security policy, pending Provost approval. We welcome applications from scholars with a PhD in any relevant disciplines, including history, political science, security studies, and international relations. We are looking for a distinguished senior scholar with an exemplary record of research and teaching and a commitment to both undergraduate and graduate teaching as well as scholarship. We have a strong preference for a scholar who specializes in South America, particularly Brazil, with a focus on environment, public health, and\/or human development. We welcome applications from all relevant disciplines, including environmental studies, development studies, political science, sociology, anthropology, history, public health, and international affairs. Career diplomats with ambassadorial experience and practitioners with equivalent experience and stature, including at international organizations, are encouraged to apply. We are open as to functional and regional expertise and to academic and professional training in all relevant disciplines including international relations, international law, international economics, and international politics. The successful candidate will be a distinguished scholar-practitioner in intelligence studies. The professor of the practice will teach courses on intelligence collection and analysis, on the role of intelligence in the formulation of foreign policy, and\/or emerging trends in intelligence studies such as cyber-security.
