CFD Annual Conference: Research, Art, and Activism

This is the Boston University Center on Forced Displacement's (CFD) first annual conference.

This is a two-day event, with the second day being a hybrid event, available on Zoom for those who cannot join us in person.

The CFD conference opens with the Keynote Address by the Nobel Laureate Abdulrazak Gurnah on April 24.

12:00 - 1:30 p.m.: Lunch and Student Poster Presentations

1:30 - 2:45 p.m.: Panel Conversation with the CFD Advisory Board: Role of Research Institutions/Centers in Addressing Displacement-Related Issues

2.45 - 3.00 p.m.: Coffee Break

3:00 - 4:45 p.m.: Sawyer Seminar: Border Cultures as Spaces of Resistance, Activism, Art, and Hope

4.45 - 5.00 p.m.: Coffee Break

5:00 p.m.: Closing Remarks by Dr. Muhammad Zaman followed by Suitcase Stories

6:00 p.m.: Reception
