Pardee Career Night 2026: Connecting Students, Alumni, and Global Career Pathways
On March 31st, the Pardee School of Global Studies at Boston University hosted its third annual Career Night, bringing together students, alumni, faculty, employers, and career professionals for an evening focused on connection and career exploration.
More than 15 organizations participated, representing a wide range of international affairs–related industries, including government, international development, humanitarian assistance, defense, consulting, and global communications.
Pardee alumni working at local organizations were well represented, including Ian Rollins (MAIA’23), Leilani Olson (BAIR’99), Justin Dynia (MA’24), Benjamin Tocchi (MAIR’23), Zach Crawford-Theurkauf (BA’13, MA GHP’20), and Luke Markham (BAIR’18). Alumni also traveled from Washington D.C. to attend, including Dave Diaz (MAIR ’02) and Jana Mason (BSPR’83).
Dean Scott Taylor opened the evening by welcoming attendees and highlighting the collaborative effort behind Career Night. He recognized the contributions of staff, faculty, student services, and the Pardee Career Services team in planning and executing the event, and encouraged students to approach the evening with confidence and curiosity as they built meaningful professional connections.
Following the dean’s remarks, Jim Paul, Employer Relations Manager, emphasized how events like Career Night can lead to unexpected and impactful career outcomes, sharing his own experience as a former Career Night representative who later joined the Pardee Career Services team.
Students then engaged in lively conversations with representatives from organizations including the International Institute of New England (IINE), WorldBoston, Raytheon, the City of Boston’s Global Affairs Office, Pardee’s Global Development Policy (GDP) Center, FGS Global, the U.S. Department of Commerce, the U.S. Navy, and the Massachusetts House of Representatives. Discussions ranged from internships, entry-level roles, and long-term career pathways, to sharing experiences, stories, and creating community ties.
Pardee Career Night 2025 proved to be more than a networking event. For students at every stage, the evening offered clarity on how academic interests, language skills, and global experiences translate into impactful careers, reinforcing Pardee’s commitment to preparing students for meaningful engagement in the world.
