Najam Interviewed on Trump’s Middle East Plan

Dean Adil Najam of the Pardee School of Global Studies was interviewed by multiple television news programs in Pakistan on the content and implications of the new Middle East Peace Plan announced by U.S. President Donald Trump.

In various news interviews, including on analysis shows NewsWise on Dawn TV and BarriBaat on Hum TV (both on January 29, 2020) Najam argued that the very one-sided plan had not only failed to even consult the Palestinian leaders but ignores its own implications for the region or the world. He said that it could seriously hurt U.S. reputation and credibility as a global peace broker and even if not implemented could have dangerous repercussions in a region currently in the grips of very fragile politics and factionalism.

Adil Najam is the Inaugural Dean of the Frederick S. Pardee School of Global Studies at Boston University and was the former Vice Chancellor of the Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS). Read more about him here.
