VIDEO: Pardee Alum Works With Syrian Refugees

bethany saulBethany Saul, an alumna of the Frederick S. Pardee School of Global Studies at Boston University, has been featured in a video on BUniverse about her work with Syrian refugees in Amman, Jordan.

Saul, who graduated with a degree in International Relations this year, discusses in the video how a degree from Pardee prepared her for challenging fieldwork fresh out of school.

“Three days after graduation, I flew from Boston to Amman, Jordan,” Saul said in the video. “if you’re looking at global studies today, it involves so many different areas. To be a well-rounded student, you have to be able to choose courses that allow you to have experience before you go out into the world.”

Saul works with the Boston Consortium for Arab Region Studies (BCARS), of which Boston University is a founding member. BCARS works closely with the BU Institute for Iraqi Studies.
