{"id":866,"date":"2008-03-20T02:45:00","date_gmt":"2008-03-20T06:45:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/pardee\/2008\/03\/20\/pardee-center-seminar-trade-and-development\/"},"modified":"2016-08-30T09:51:07","modified_gmt":"2016-08-30T13:51:07","slug":"pardee-center-seminar-trade-and-development","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/pardee\/2008\/03\/20\/pardee-center-seminar-trade-and-development\/","title":{"rendered":"Pardee Center Seminar: Trade and Development"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img src=\"https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/pardee\/files\/news-cms\/photos\/trade-seminar-081.jpg\" alt=\"Trade &amp; Development\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The next seminar in the Pardee Center inter-disciplinary seminar series on key future challenges will be a panel discussion on &#8220;Trade and Development&#8221; featuring Tariq Banuri (Stockholm Environment Institute) and Mark Halle (International Institute for Sustainable Development) and BU professors Sushil Vachani (Management) and Kevin Outterson (Law).<\/p>\n<p>This seminar series focuses on a variety of inter-disciplinary issues and invite experts from different disciplines to discuss the long-range challenges and trends in that particular issue.<\/p>\n<p>This seminar, the second in the series, is titled <strong><em>Future Challenges: Trade and Development<\/em><\/strong>, and will be held on Monday, April 7, 2008, at the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/pardee\/about\/contact\/\">Pardee House<\/a> (67 Bay State Road, Boston, MA 02215). The panel will include:<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.sei.se\/index.php?page=staffbiog&amp;staffid=A1\"><strong>Dr. Tariq Banuri<\/strong><\/a>, Stockholm Environment Institute.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.iisd.org\/about\/staffbio.aspx?id=279\"><strong>Mark Halle<\/strong><\/a>, International Institute for Sustainable Development.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Prof. Sushil Vachani<\/strong>, School of Management, Boston University.<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.bu.edu\/law\/faculty\/profiles\/bios\/full-time\/outterson_k.html\">Prof. Kevin Outterson<\/a><\/strong>, School of Law, Boston University.<\/p>\n<p>Lunch will be available from 11.30am, and the seminar itself will start at noon.
