S. Pardee Center for the Study of the Longer-Range Future, together with the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.bu.edu\/ir\/\">BU Department of International Relations<\/a>, the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.bu.edu\/ir\/about\/center\/\">Center for International Relations<\/a>, the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.bu.edu\/asian\/\">BU Center for the Study of Asia<\/a>, and the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.bu.edu\/ir\/graduate\/prospective\/girc\/\">Graduate International Relations Council<\/a>, is one of the sponsors for the conference.<\/p>\n<p>The conference, titled &#8220;<em><a href=\"http:\/\/blogs.bu.edu\/sbutcher\/\">Expansion &amp; Contraction of the International Neighborhood<\/a>&#8220;<\/em>, will examine the multifaceted entity of the &#8220;international neighborhood&#8221; and the role it embodies in modern international relations, as well as its very existence. <a href=\"http:\/\/blogs.bu.edu\/sbutcher\/keynote-speaker\/\">Stephen Kinzer<\/a>, award-winning foreign correspondent, will deliver the keynote address.
