The International Relations department is organizing the First Annual Graduate Student Research Conference<\/a> on February 18 – 19, 2011.\u00a0The Frederick. S. Pardee Center for the Study of the Longer-Range Future, together with the BU Department of International Relations<\/a>, the Center for International Relations<\/a>, the BU Center for the Study of Asia<\/a>, and the Graduate International Relations Council<\/a>, is one of the sponsors for the conference.<\/p>\n

The conference, titled “Expansion & Contraction of the International Neighborhood<\/a>“<\/em>, will examine the multifaceted entity of the “international neighborhood” and the role it embodies in modern international relations, as well as its very existence. Stephen Kinzer<\/a>, award-winning foreign correspondent, will deliver the keynote address. The schedule<\/a> for the conference is as follows:<\/p>\n
