{"id":7937,"date":"2011-01-29T12:28:45","date_gmt":"2011-01-29T17:28:45","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/pardee\/?p=7937"},"modified":"2011-02-04T09:44:46","modified_gmt":"2011-02-04T14:44:46","slug":"selin-unep","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/pardee\/2011\/01\/29\/selin-unep\/","title":{"rendered":"Henrik Selin Attends UNEP Meeting in Chiba, Japan"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"\/pardee\/files\/news-cms\/photos\/selin-nice-21.jpg\"><img class=\"alignleft size-full wp-image-1358\" title=\"selin-nice-21\" src=\"\/pardee\/files\/news-cms\/photos\/selin-nice-21.jpg\" alt=\"Pardee Center Fellow Prof. Henrik Selin\" \/><\/a>Pardee Faculty Fellow Henrik Selin was in Chiba, Japan to attend the second session of the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.unep.org\/hazardoussubstances\/Mercury\/Negotiations\/INC2\/tabid\/3468\/Default.aspx\">Intergovernmental Negotiating Committee<\/a> to prepare a global legally binding instrument on Mercury (<strong>INC2<\/strong>) will be held in Chiba, Japan from 24 to 28 January, 2011.<\/p>\n<p>Prof. Selin was the author of Pardee Paper No. 5 &#8211;\u00a0<a href=\"..\/publications\/pardee-paper-005-waste\/\">Managing Hazardous Chemicals: Longer-Range Challenges<\/a> that Prof. Selin published with the Pardee Center in the Spring the recently published book, \u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/pardee\/2010\/02\/11\/pardee-faculty-fellow-henrik-selin-publishes-book-on-global-governance-of-hazardous-chemicals\/\" target=\"_blank\">Global Governance of Hazardous Chemicals<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Prof. Selin is an associate professor in Boston University&#8217;s International Relations Department.
