Pardee Center Research Fellow Moeed Yusuf Appointed South Asia Advisor at the United States Institute of Peace<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Pardee Center Research Fellow Moeed Yusuf<\/a> has been appointed South Asia Advisor at the United States Institute of Peace (USIP)<\/a>, a Congressionally created think tank that teaches and supports peacemaking efforts around the world.<\/p>\n

Moeed Yusuf<\/a>, who is completing his Political Science PhD at Boston University has been a Pardee Center Fellow since late 2007 has authored two Pardee Papers – on the future of nuclear energy<\/a> (also here<\/a>) and on poverty targeting<\/a> – and is working with Pardee Center Director Prof. Adil Najam on the Pardee Center South Asia 2060 project<\/a>.<\/p>\n

As USIP’s South Asia Adviser<\/a>, Moeed W. Yusuf \u00a0“is responsible for managing the Institute\u2019s Pakistan program” and “will be engaged in expanding USIP\u2019s work portfolio on Pakistan to cover aspects that remain critical for the US and Pakistan to generate a better understanding of each other\u2019s interests and priorities.”<\/p>\n

Moeed Yusuf will continue serving as a Research Fellow at the Boston University Frederick S. Pardee Center for the Study of the Longer-Range Future.<\/p>\n
