Pardee Center for the Study of the Longer-Range Future is hosting a meeting of the Pardee Center Task Force on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/pardee\/research\/environmental-governance\/\">Environmental Governance<\/a> in and for the 21<sup>st<\/sup> Century on Oct. 11 and 12.<\/p>\n<p>Pardee Faculty Fellows <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/pardee\/community\/anne-short\/\">Anne Short<\/a> (Earth and Environment) and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/pardee\/community\/henrik-selin\/\">Henrik Selin<\/a> (International Relations) are convening the 12-member group in collaboration with Prof. <a href=\"http:\/\/www.clarku.edu\/faculty\/facultybio.cfm?id=876\">James McCarthy<\/a> of the Clark University Graduate School of Geography.<\/p>\n<p>The Task Force was created to bring together scholars of environmental governance from different disciplines who look at governance issues at various scales ranging from local and informal community governance programs to formal, international institutional arrangements. The group will work together to review current knowledge, develop a new research agenda, and produce a report that provides insights for consideration by policymakers and other scholars and decisionmakers.<\/p>\n<p>Learn more about the members of the Task Force <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/pardee\/research\/environmental-governance\/\">here<\/a>.\u00a0 The report stemming from the Task Force meeting will be published in 2013.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Frederick S.
