Pardee Center for the Study of the Longer-Range Future is holding a participatory workshop called &#8220;Games for a New Climate&#8221; on <a href=\"\/pardee\/files\/2012\/03\/PardeeGames032712d_x1a.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignright size-medium wp-image-11749\" title=\"Climate Games 2\" src=\"\/pardee\/files\/2012\/03\/PardeeGames032712d_x1a-232x300.jpg\" alt=\"Climate Games 2\" width=\"232\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/pardee\/files\/2012\/03\/PardeeGames032712d_x1a-232x300.jpg 232w, https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/pardee\/files\/2012\/03\/PardeeGames032712d_x1a-792x1024.jpg 792w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 232px) 100vw, 232px\" \/><\/a>Tuesday, March 27 to demonstrate how experiential learning can be an effective tool for linking knowledge with action.\u00a0 The event is sponsored by the Pardee Center in collaboration with the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.climatecentre.org\/\">Red Cross\/Red Crescent Climate Centre<\/a> and will be led by Pardee Visiting Fellow <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/pardee\/community\/pablo-suarez\/\">Pablo Suarez.<\/a> The workshop is associated with a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/pardee\/research\/task-force-meeting-and-gaming-session-games-for-a-new-climate\/\">Pardee Center Task Force<\/a> of experts on the development of games as a teaching and learning tool for important decisions related to climate, development, disasters, and humanitarian work. The Task Force will meet at day earlier at Pardee House and will produce a report on this topic to be published later this year.<\/p>\n<p>Boston University undergraduates and graduate students are <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/pardee\/research\/task-force-meeting-and-gaming-session-games-for-a-new-climate\/\">invited<\/a> to participate in the March 27 day-long session that will feature interactive games related to climate risks ranging from hurricanes to sea level rise. Students are invited to sign up for one or all of the three game sessions.
