His piece is a <a href=\"\/pardee\/files\/\/2009\/09\/zaman-th.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignleft size-full wp-image-2391\" title=\"zaman-th\" src=\"\/pardee\/files\/\/2009\/09\/zaman-th.jpg\" alt=\"zaman-th\" width=\"149\" height=\"150\" \/><\/a>reaction to the January 30<sup>th<\/sup> declaration made in London by Bill Gates, WHO, and a number of major pharmaceutical companies to eradicate ten diseases afflicting the world\u2019s poor in ten years.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cThe London declaration is a breath of fresh air, yet the long-term impact can only be sustainable through local innovative capacity building.
