\"paul<\/a>Biography<\/h3>\n

Paul McManus is a Senior Lecturer and award-winning faculty in the Strategy & Innovation Department at the Questrom School of Business at Boston University teaching a range of required and advanced courses\u00a0in corporate strategy, innovation management, entrepreneurship and sustainability across Questrom’s\u00a0undergraduate, graduate and executive programs.<\/p>\n

His\u00a0current\u00a0focus blends\u00a0design and\u00a0systems thinking with lean implementation practices and\u00a0platform strategies as the\u00a0means to drive strategic innovation, corporate transformation and sustainable development. In addition to his teaching,\u00a0he is an active\u00a0a\u00a0board member and\u00a0advisor to a number of public and private organizations across a variety\u00a0of industries with a particular focus on the\u00a0energy &\u00a0mobility sectors and sustainable cities.<\/span><\/p>\n

In addition to his\u00a0teaching appointment, he is\u00a0affiliated with the following research centers and institutes at Boston University:<\/span><\/p>\n

ASSOCIATE: Frederick S. Pardee Center for the Study of the Longer-Range Future<\/a>\u00a0–\u00a0<\/span>The Frederick S. Pardee Center for the Study of the Longer-Range Future convenes symposia and conducts interdisciplinary, policy-relevant, and future-oriented research that contributes to long-term improvements in the human condition. The Center\u2019s focus is defined by its longer-range vision and is not confined to any particular set of issues. Our work seeks to identify, anticipate, and enhance the long-term potential for human progress.<\/p>\n

AFFILIATE:\u00a0Institute for Sustainable Energy<\/a>\u00a0–\u00a0<\/span>Boston University Institute for Sustainable Energy (ISE) is a University-wide institute, administered by the Questrom School of Business, that assists and promotes faculty research, and enhances BU\u2019s curricular offerings and communication products related to sustainable energy.<\/p>\n

Prior to joining the faculty at Boston University full-time in 2006, Mr. McManus\u00a0was a Venture Partner focused on human capital development\u00a0with Boston Millennia Partners, a $740M venture capital fund with international investments in early-stage technology ventures in the life sciences, healthcare, medical device, information technology and telecommunications industries.<\/span><\/p>\n

Previously, he\u00a0spent eight years as consultant to investors, multinational corporations, government agencies and startups in the international venture community and fifteen years as a corporate new venture development executive, product manager and engineer in the high-tech industry with Digital Equipment Corporation.<\/span><\/p>\n

McManus received an\u00a0MBA from Boston University in 1986 and a\u00a0B.S. in Mechanical Engineering Technology from Wentworth Institute of Technology in 1977.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
