How have your classes been? Are they better in-person or online?
So far, my classes have been going really well. This semester, I have a great schedule because I don’t have classes on Monday or Friday. Having no classes on Monday and Fridays are really helpful because I can get any errands done and do my homework, which really frees up my weekends to relax and hangout with my friend. Although all of my classes are online, I really enjoy it because I have a lot more free time to actually eat and sleep which I normally wouldn’t during a regular semester. For example, during a regular semester, I would probably eat one or two meals a day, which would be lunch or dinner. But with my classes being remote and the dining halls having take-out food, I can get enough food the next day so I can eat breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Besides that, the online classes let me sleep more since I don’t have to wake up earlier to walk to classes around campus. This has been really nice because I usually get around 5-6 hours of sleep each night, but now I can get a solid 8 hours, which is more than I ever got in high school.
How are you eating on campus? What has been your favorite meal or place to eat?
Compared to previous semesters, I am actually eating a lot better than I normally would. The take-out method in the dining hall allows me to take food for the next day so now I can eat breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Previously, I never ate breakfast because I simply didn’t have time to, but thankfully this semester my current situation allows me to do so. I usually get extra food from Bay State Dining Hall to eat the next day, but if I want some coffee I usually order Starbucks through GrubHub.
How are you taking care of yourself right now?
One thing I do to take care of myself is by making sure I use one day of the weekend to not do any homework at all. This has been really helpful for me because it makes sure that I set a time to relax and decompress before the upcoming week. I also started doing exercises in my room in between classes just to make sure that I can get some movement in my day since all of my classes are online and I only have to go out to get food from the dining hall.
