Cost of Orientation
The following is a breakdown of all potential costs associated with attending University Orientation at Boston University. The Orientation Fee is the only expense that is standard across all students attending University Orientation.
Cost for New Students
The Orientation Fee is a flat fee charged once to all new students. It covers the costs associated with your mandatory University Orientation experience. This $315 fee is a part of your first-semester tuition bill and can only be paid when you pay your tuition bill.
Cost for Families of New Students
Parents and family members of our new Terriers are welcome to participate in separate orientation programming hosted by Parent & Family Programs. Family members may purchase a $155 subscription to access videos, content, and live presentations from the summer through October 18.
Students have the opportunity to sign up one family member in their student registration. If you need to add more family members, do not worry. Our parent and family registration will be up on Monday, May 11.
Orientation Fee Waiver
Limited opportunities are available for fee waivers. Students receiving financial aid who request this assistance will be considered.
Students interested in applying for Orientation Fee waivers need to make the request utilizing this form.
