Gregg Snyder <\/b>manages the University\u2019s real estate portfolio and oversees space and campus planning, real estate, design and engineering, project planning and delivery, facilities maintenance, energy management, deferred maintenance planning, and asset management, and various campus services across Boston University\u2019s varied 15.6 million square feet physical plant portfolio in the City of Boston, Town of Brookline, and several locations domestically and internationally.<\/p>\n

In this role, Gregg oversees the following offices:<\/p>\n

Facilities Management &<\/strong> Operations<\/strong><\/a> provides the day-to-day maintenance services necessary to support the University\u2019s physical operations. This department is comprised of hundreds of skilled trades workers, engineers, and custodians, who maintain and improve Boston University\u2019s campuses to ensure a clean, attractive, safe, and sanitary environment for students, faculty, staff, and visitors.<\/p>\n

Planning, Design & Construction<\/strong><\/a> is organized in 3 groups\u2014Campus Planning, Annual Capital Projects, and Major Capital Projects\u2014and a myriad of consultants and contractors, overseeing 200+ projects a year averaging $140 million in spending. Campus Planning focuses on the University\u2019s long-range planning, guiding campus development in a way that gives physical form to the University\u2019s mission, vision, and programs through the effective use of human, environmental, and financial resources. The Annual Capital Projects group oversees a wide range of projects a year valued at less than $15 million each. The Major Projects group is dedicated to high-profile major renovations and new construction projects greater than $15 million.<\/p>\n

Real Estate<\/strong><\/a> is responsible for property acquisition and disposition, residential leasing for faculty and staff apartments, and the management and oversight of the international real estate, real estate gift transactions, and University-owned commercial properties, including all leasing and project development.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
