Students will be equipped to perform quantitative analysis to assess transnational organization challenges and address them efficiently. This concentration exposes students to hands-on analytics of foreign exchange risk, transaction and translation exposure, foreign direct investments, and multinational corporate strategic management. Graduates will be qualified for jobs in worldwide credit risk evaluation, quantitative strategies for global security selection, risk measurement and mitigation, cash management, and the impact of foreign exchange rates on the cost of capital and budgeting.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>By learning to navigate through the multinational financial system, understand international portfolio management, and explore the balance of payments and international economic linkages, students will be able to specialize in a highly-desired area of finance at a time of increased cross-border investments and multinational mergers and acquisitions.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Students who complete this concentration should be able to understand multinational financial management; explain the concept of equilibrium exchange rates; differentiate between nominal and real exchange rates; define social, political, cultural, and economic country risks; identify basic factors that determine foreign exchange risk for a company; determine the cost of capital for foreign investments; and describe the risks and advantages of international investing.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Metropolitan College is a participant in the CFA Institute University Affiliation Program. The course will explore an overview of the financial systems, their history, problems, and issues for the purpose of understanding the enactment of regulations as a method to protect the financial systems and investors. Also, regulators and their authority will be identified, both domestically and internationally. Ethics, an extremely important aspect of finance will be discussed and explored. Ethics is a difficult topic to define and can be impacted by social norms.
