The Office of the Ombuds<\/span><\/span> provides a strict promise of confidentiality which allows you to have off-the-record conversations about <\/span>highly sensitive<\/span> issues<\/span>.\u00a0<\/span> <\/span>However, due to the limits of technology, confidentiality cannot be ensured in email communication. Thus, you are <\/span>advised<\/span> against sending sensitive information via email.<\/span><\/p>\n

We encourage you to schedule an appointment in advance to ensure one of us is available; we\u2019re rarely able to accept walk-ins due to our high volume of consultations.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The BU Ombuds Office is located at 930 Commonwealth Avenue at the corner of Pleasant Street. Click here for a map.<\/a><\/p>\n

You can enter either through the front door on Commonwealth Avenue, or via the second entrance on Pleasant Street (the entrance with the awning over it). We are near the end of the hall toward the rear of the building on the first floor.<\/p>\n

Getting here by:<\/h4>\n

BU Shuttle<\/strong>
\nTake the BU Shuttle to the Buick Street stop. Click here for the BU Shuttle schedule.<\/a> Cross Commonwealth Avenue at the corner, near Agannis Arena. Walk down Pleasant Street about 250 feet and the building entrance will be on your left.<\/p>\n

The MBTA<\/strong>
\nTake the Green Line (B-Line \/Boston College). Exit the train at the Amory Street stop. Cross to the south side of Commonwealth Avenue (side with Target, Starbucks, Chipotle, etc). Walk about four minutes up (0.1 miles) towards Pleasant Street and the building will be on your left. Alternatively, get off at the Babcock Street station, cross the street toward Sullivan Tire, and we are across Pleasant Street from Sullivan Tire.<\/p>\n

Car<\/strong>
\nThere is a paid parking lot next door at the 131 Dummer Street Garage. If you have a BU parking pass, you may park at the Agganis Arena garage. There is also metered parking along Pleasant Street, and Commonwealth Avenue, and free two-hour parking on Town of Brookline side streets.<\/p>\n

Our office is in Suite 818 in the Solomon Carter Fuller Building (85 E Newton St.<\/a>). It is the large concrete building on the corner of Albany and East Newton Streets, or across East Newton St. from the Newton Pavilion and the Goldman School of Dental Medicine.<\/p>\n

There is a security desk at the first-floor entrance of the Fuller building. You will be required to display your BU ID as you pass by. Take the elevator to the 8th floor, Suite 818. There is signage in the hallway.<\/p>\n

Getting here by:<\/h4>\n

BU Shuttle<\/strong>
\nTake the BU Shuttle to the BU Medical Campus Stop<\/a>. Click here for the BU Shuttle schedule.<\/a> Walk down Albany Street (keeping the Medical Campus on your left.) Turn left onto East Newton Street and walk about halfway down the block. The entrance to the Fuller building will be on your left.<\/p>\n

The MBTA<\/strong>
\nTake the 8, 10, 47, or the CT3 bus and get out at the 88 East Newton Street stop. The Fuller building will be across the street from the Newton Pavilion and the School of Dental Medicine.<\/p>\n

Car<\/strong>
\nOn-street parking is not dependable at this location. However, there is a parking garage at 710 Albany Street<\/a>, and another at 732 Harrison Ave<\/a> (near the Preston building).<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
