She is part of the interdisciplinary BU URBAN program and is the President of BUs chapter of SACNAS (the Society for the Advancement of Chicanos\/Hispanics and Native Americans in Science). Her research focuses on the molecular stress responses of coral and anemones with particular interest in the regulation of immunity and metabolism.
