I&#8217;ve worked with many first gen students across my career and recognize how much courage it takes to navigate a University system. It&#8217;s daunting to deal with jargon, to work hard to find resources, to make sacrifices at great financial expense, etc and particularly to do this in a context with minimal support or background knowledge. I hope students will feel free to reach out to me.
