I can also talk about studying, living, and working abroad, careers in higher education, careers in early education, and careers in K-12 education.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>First-Generation College and Graduate\/Professional<\/li>\n<li>Gender Identity and Pronouns: she\/her<\/li>\n<li>Hometown: <span>Rock Island, Illinois<\/span><\/li>\n<li>Languages Spoken: <span>German, Spanish, Georgian (basic)<\/span><\/li>\n<li>Business\/ Industry of Interest: Social Sciences<\/li>\n<li>Personal Facts\/ Hobbies\/ Interests: <span>I was a cellist and pianist in high school and very involved in community service while balancing working 20\/hours a week. My high school had fewer resources than those that many of my college classmates graduated from.<\/span><span>At the University of Chicago, I was very involved with Resources for Sexual Violence Prevention on campus, and in my free time volunteered in local emergency rooms as an advocate for survivors of sexual assault with a community non-profit. I was also very involved in residence life on campus.<\/span><span>During college, I studied abroad in Oaxaca, Mexico and Paris, France. I also volunteered teaching with Global Learning in Nicaragua.<\/span>\n<p><span>After completing my undergraduate degree, I lived in Germany for almost eight years.
