I saw the stressors my first-generation and low-income students faced during the application process and as they entered college. As I sent them to start their college time, I was always hoping there would be staff on that campus to support them and allow them to flourish. As a student affairs professional, an important part of my work is to ensure all students feel welcome and supported on campus. I enjoy cooking, reading, going for long walks around Boston, watching my New England Patriots, and watching K-dramas (I will talk for hours about this)!
