As someone who has a Ph.D. but isn&#8217;t a professor, I feel I can help students navigate some of the challenges that come along with the academic rigors of study at BU while also having some perspectives outside of just academics.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p><em><strong>I&#8217;m also a good listener and can help students think through some of the bigger existential questions they might encounter during their time at BU as a chaplain. I&#8217;m an ordained Lutheran pastor. I&#8217;m married to another BU alum and we have a precocious tabby cat named Igby. I&#8217;m passionate about environmental justice and interested in the role religion plays in informing people&#8217;s care for the Earth. I also love crochet\/knitting, crafting in general, traveling, going to concerts, and binge-watching tv shows. I visit Disney World at least once a year.
