And, only one of my parents completed high school. I had little to no understanding of what to expect from college, how to get in, and even what some of the majors were (I.e., political science?). I have learned a lot along the way and have been fortunate to get help whenever I (had the courage to) ask. Two of my children attend BU &#8211; senior and sophomore. And, my younger two are in their 1st and 3rd year in high school.
