Following three years engaged in postgraduate research surrounding neurodegeneration at Yale University, he subsequently joined BU&#8217;s Graduate Program\u00a0for\u00a0Neuroscience in 2016.<\/span><span>\u00a0E<\/span><span>mploying neurophotonic techniques such as calcium imaging, optogenetics, and femtosecond laser microsurgery, his current research focuses on<\/span><span color=\"#3f3f3f\" face=\"Helvetica, arial, verdana, sans-serif\" style=\"color: #3f3f3f; font-family: Helvetica, arial, verdana, sans-serif;\"><span>\u00a0the C.\u00a0elegans nervous system<\/span><\/span><span>. He<\/span><span>\u00a0aims<\/span><span>\u00a0to use neurophotonics and this simple model organism to\u00a0<\/span><span>expand his understanding of the molecular and cellular processes underlying nervous system function,\u00a0<\/span><span>dysfunction,\u00a0<\/span>and\u00a0regeneration.
