He became involved in neurophotonics in Dr. John White\u2019s lab while conducting visually-guided patch-clamping experiments to study theta rhythm generation. For his dissertation, Jad is studying the dynamics of excitation and inhibition in the cortex using two-photon microscopy and electrophysiology.
