He became involved in neurophotonics during his first year as a grad student at BU through my rotations. He learned how to patch clamp neurons in John White&#8217;s lab and then was introduced to two-photon calcium imaging in Jerry Chen&#8217;s lab. Joining Jerry&#8217;s lab (Biology Department) ensured neurophotonics would be a major part of his graduate career. He does not yet have a dissertation topic but is currently preparing to investigate potential neural circuits involved in a whisker-based paired association task.
