He became involved in neurophotonics after joining the\u00a0<u>Gavornik lab<\/u>\u00a0in 2017 as a PhD student in the Graduate Program for Neuroscience (GPN) where he uses two-photon calcium imaging to study spatiotemporal processing in the primary visual cortex.
