Thomas Bellio (Goldstein Lab) graduated from Stonehill College in 2018 with a BS in Neuroscience. Currently, he is beginning my second year in the Program in Biomedical Sciences (PiBS) as part of the Pathology and Laboratory Medicine department in Dr. Lee Goldstein’s lab. He became involved with neurophotonics after joining the Goldstein lab and being introduced to the ongoing collaboration with the Boas group using two-photon microscopy in the study of brain microvasculature after traumatic brain injury. His work looks at the physiological, mechanical, and biological mechanisms that underlie concussion, traumatic brain injury (TBI), and chronic traumatic encephalopathy (CTE).
