Dr. Deepak Kumar is the director of The Movement & Applied Imaging Lab. The Lab is a trans-disciplinary collaboration with the objective of mitigating pain and disability due to knee osteoarthritis (OA). They use state-of-the-art technologies to study the quality and quantity of movement during daily activities, and their associations with chronic pain mechanisms, and tissue health in knee OA. This information helps identify risk factors for knee OA and develop novel, effective, and scalable interventions to reduce pain and disability for people with knee OA.
