{"id":17,"date":"2017-07-06T15:30:58","date_gmt":"2017-07-06T19:30:58","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/neuroimaging\/?page_id=17"},"modified":"2018-02-16T12:52:58","modified_gmt":"2018-02-16T17:52:58","slug":"about","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/neuroimaging\/about\/","title":{"rendered":"About"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Researchers studying cognitive neuroscience aim to improve our understanding of the biological mechanisms that give rise to\u00a0behavior and cognition. \u00a0Over the last few decades the development of neuroimaging technologies has catalyzed progress in cognitive neuroscience, providing\u00a0scientists with a window into the brain and mind.<\/p>\n<p>Here at the Cognitive Neuroimaging Center (CNC), we bring together a multidisciplinary team of researchers to\u00a0increase our understanding of brain function by linking across multiple levels. The CNC is home to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/neuroimaging\/resources\">several state-of-the-art facilities<\/a> including a brand new 3T\u00a0Siemens MAGNETOM Prisma MRI scanner.<\/p>\n<p>The CNC is part of a larger community of collaborative neuroscience research at BU.
