Coffee and Conversation with Ryan Roth Gallo (’99) and Seth Montgomery (’22)

  • Starts: 9:00 am on Tuesday, November 30, 2021
  • Ends: 10:00 am on Tuesday, November 30, 2021
Join Ryan Roth Gallo (’99), Vice Chair of Boston University’s Board of Trustees, and Seth Montgomery (’22), Editor-in-Chief of the Boston University Law Review, for a casual, wide-ranging conversation moderated by Visiting Lecturer Alicia Hughes. Coffee, tea, and a light continental breakfast will be served. As a former Articles Editor for the Boston University Law Review, Ryan will speak with Seth about her experience serving on the editorial board of a law journal and how the experience has impacted her career, life at BU Law when she was a student in the 1990s, and her life journey and work as an attorney, advocate, and volunteer. Come with your questions to gain insights from one successful alumna about life after law school and more that may inspire your journey. In addition to serving as Vice Chair of the University’s Board of Trustees, Ryan is a member of the Dean’s Advisory Board and operates a solo, part-time and primarily pro bono legal practice where she has advised and represented clients on matters related to immigration, adoption, and nonprofit status. In 2021, she and husband Ernest J. Gallo, President and CEO of E&J Gallo, the largest family-owned winery in the world, made a generous contribution to Boston University to create the nation’s first endowed professorship in Critical Race Theory, which Dean Onwuachi-Willig now holds.
