Education for Equity & Democracy Summer Symposium (3-day virtual event)

  • Starts: 4:00 pm on Monday, June 21, 2021
  • Ends: 7:00 pm on Wednesday, June 23, 2021
Is the “American experiment” at risk of failure? Over the last year, the COVID-19 pandemic and the U.S. racial justice crisis have shone a bright light on some of the nation’s fault lines, including the disparities and structural biases that impact critical issues such as education, health and health care, and civic engagement.

Join us for an engaging exploration of both the systemic inequities that threaten our democratic ideals and the changes that are needed to address them. The Education for Equity and Democracy symposium will be led by Boston University faculty and thought leaders from across disciplines, including education, medicine, social work, and science.

Featured speakers include:
Ki Gross, Woke Kindergarten
Rashaan Hall, Racial Justice Program, ACLU
Rachael Rollins, Suffolk County District Attorney, Massachusetts
