{"id":650,"date":"2012-10-21T12:49:07","date_gmt":"2012-10-21T16:49:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/nerscic\/?page_id=650"},"modified":"2012-12-03T22:09:53","modified_gmt":"2012-12-04T03:09:53","slug":"edseries","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/nerscic\/edseries\/","title":{"rendered":""},"content":{"rendered":"<h1><a href=\"\/nerscic\/files\/2012\/10\/Double-Logo.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" width=\"467\" src=\"\/nerscic\/files\/2012\/10\/Double-Logo.png\" alt=\"Double-Logo\" height=\"144\" title=\"Double-Logo\" class=\"size-full wp-image-939 aligncenter\" \/><\/a><\/h1>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">are pleased to present the<\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: center;\">Knowledge in Motion<br style=\"clear: both;\" \/>SCI Education Series<\/h2>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong><em>Staying Well after SCI:<\/em><\/strong><br style=\"clear: both;\" \/><strong><em>What You Can Do and How We Can Help<\/em><\/strong><\/h3>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">featuring<\/p>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong><em>Susan <\/em><em>Bergman, MD<br style=\"clear: both;\" \/><\/em><\/strong><em><\/em>Boston\u2019s Community Medical Group<\/h3>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>Thursday, November 29, 2012<br style=\"clear: both;\" \/><\/strong>6:30-8:00 PM Eastern Time<\/p>\n<p><b>About the speaker:<\/b><\/p>\n<p><b>Dr. Susan Bergman <\/b>has been a Physiatrist at Boston&#8217;s Community Medical Group (soon to be known as Commonwealth Community Care) since 1993.\u00a0 She is an Attending Physician at both Boston Medical Center (BMC) and Metro West Medical Center, and has been in private practice since 2003. \u00a0\u00a0Dr. Bergman worked as a staff physiatrist on the SCI unit at the New England Regional Spinal Cord Injury Center at BMC from 1985 to 2003, and has served as the Clinical Director of the SCI Center.\u00a0 She is also a consulting Physiatrist to nursing facilities in the area and has consulted to a number of area facilities, including Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital (1986-1987).\u00a0 Dr. Bergman works with the Framingham Accountable Care Organization (ACO) and the New England Quality Care Alliance to expand the availability of comprehensive affordable coordinated care to patients and communities.\u00a0\u00a0 She received her MD from the Boston University School of Medicine in 1982 and is Board Certified in Spinal Cord Injury Medicine.\u00a0 Dr. Bergman is an Associate Clinical Professor of PM&amp;R at Boston University School of Medicine.<\/p>\n<p><b>About Boston\u2019s Community Medical Group (BCMG):<\/b><\/p>\n<p>As one of the first groups in the nation to provide community-based primary care to adults with complex physical disabilities, BCMG offers a multi-disciplinary team approach to care that emphasizes preventive health care strategies, management of chronic conditions, as well as prompt responsiveness to new problems.
