About this month\u2019s topic:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Complementary and integrative healthcare (CIH) is a healthcare approach that includes complementary medicine<\/strong> (used together with conventional medicine), alternative medicine<\/strong> (used in place of conventional medicine) and integrative health<\/strong> (using complementary and alternative therapies in conjunction with conventional therapies). \u00a0CIH approaches are usually separated into two groups: PRODUCTS<\/strong>, including herbs, vitamins, minerals, and cannabis; and PRACTICES<\/strong>, which include yoga, acupuncture, chiropractic, and massage. \u00a0CIH can be helpful in treating secondary conditions that are common in people with SCI, including pain, bowel and bladder health, and depression. \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
