One to two times per year, students invite a medical doctor whose work is of interest to the group out to dinner. They spend the evening learning about clinical issues firsthand in a personal, informal setting. These dinner meetings offer unique professional opportunities for our trainees as well as opportunities to interact with each other.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" src=\"\/nano-bu\/files\/2019\/07\/Kei-Suzuki-TRB-Seminar-Sept-19-2017-1024x681.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"576\" height=\"383\" class=\"wp-image-4065 alignright\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/nano-bu\/files\/2019\/07\/Kei-Suzuki-TRB-Seminar-Sept-19-2017-1024x681.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/nano-bu\/files\/2019\/07\/Kei-Suzuki-TRB-Seminar-Sept-19-2017-636x423.jpg 636w, https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/nano-bu\/files\/2019\/07\/Kei-Suzuki-TRB-Seminar-Sept-19-2017-768x511.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 576px) 100vw, 576px\" \/>In 2023, TRB students hosted a &#8220;Lunch with an MD&#8221; event with <a href=\"https:\/\/sbpdiscovery.org\/our-scientists\/evan-snyder-md-phd\">Dr. Evan Snyder<\/a> of UCSD and Sanford Burnham Prebys. The 2016 &#8220;Dinner with an MD&#8221; featured <a href=\"https:\/\/physiciandirectory.brighamandwomens.org\/details\/1250\/bohdan-pomahac-gastrointestinal_and_general_surgery-plastic_surgery-trauma_burn_and_surgical_care-boston\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Dr. Bohdan Pomahac<\/a>, <span>Director of the Plastic Surgery Transplantation Program at Brigham and Women\u2019s Hospital. <\/span>In 2019, TRB students dined with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bumc.bu.edu\/busm\/profile\/stephan-anderson\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Dr. Stephan Anderson<\/a>, <span>Section Chief of Abdominal Imaging in the Department of Radiology at the Boston University Medical Center<\/span>. Other past guest clinicians include Drs. <a href=\"https:\/\/findadoc.bidmc.org\/details\/1294\/edward-rodriguez-orthopaedic_surgery-boston\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Ken Rodriguez<\/a>, <span>Orthopaedic Trauma Surgeon at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center;<\/span>\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/dev.bmc.org\/about-us\/directory\/doctor\/john-h-schwartz-md\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">John Schwartz<\/a>, Nephrologist at <span>Boston University Medical Center;<\/span>\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.bumc.bu.edu\/busm\/profile\/kei-suzuki\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Kei Suzuki<\/a>, Thoracic Surgeon at Boston University Medical Center (shown above); and <a href=\"https:\/\/geiselmed.dartmouth.edu\/news\/2015\/geisel-professor-named-a-2015-national-academy-of-inventors-fellow\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Aaron V.
