Course Requirements
Students who opt to complete the MS in BME with a Focus in Nanomedicine will fulfill the standard BME MS requirements, but their coursework will be concentrated on nanomedicine topics and their independent study must directly relate to challenges in nanomedicine.
The MS in BME requires completion of a 36-credit-hour study program. The program may be completed in as few as nine to twelve months, or students may opt to complete the program within two years. All students are required to complete a practicum, which may be satisfied by completing an approved project or by carrying out original research that culminates in a written thesis. Students who excel in the BME MS program are encouraged to continue in the BME post-MS PhD program.
