New Faculty – Wei-Lun (Harry) Chao
This January Wei-Lun (Harry) Chao joined BU’s ECE Department and became the newest member of the MINDS Group. Harry joins BU from the Ohio State University where he spent over 6 years. His research focuses on machine learning and computer vision, and their applications to recognition, autonomous driving, Imageomics (biology & ecology), healthcare, etc. He received his Ph.D. degree in Computer Science from the University of Southern California, MS degree in Communication Engineering from National Taiwan University and BS degree in Communication Engineering from National Chiao Tung University.
