Dr. Raymann joined North Carolina State University as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Plant and Microbial Biology in 2023, and is also an Adjunct Assistant Professor in the Department of Biology at University of North Carolina Greensboro. Dr. Raymann completed her PhD at the Institute Pasteur &amp; Universit\u00e9 Paris VI, and a postdoctoral fellowship at the University of Texas, Austin. Her research aims to determine the factors that shape fine-scale microbial community structure within hosts, specifically within the gut microbiome of honey bees.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This year, we will also be holding a competition for microbe of the year.
