You will receive a notification message with setup instructions when the request has been processed.<\/p>\n<p>On your first access of DataMotion, you will be prompted to create a password. This password is separate from your BU password and should follow these rules:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A minimum length of 10 characters<\/li>\n<li>At least 1 number<\/li>\n<li>At least 1 letter<\/li>\n<li>At least 1 special character<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>When sending a secure email, there are two methods:<\/p>\n<dl>\n<dt><strong>DataMotion SecureMail Web Portal<\/strong><\/dt>\n<dd>\n<p>You can send emails directly from the DataMotion Web Portal after logging in.<\/p>\n<\/dd>\n<dt><strong>Microsoft Outlook Client<\/strong><\/dt>\n<dd>\n<p><strong style=\"color: red\">NOTE:<\/strong> This option is only available for Windows users.<\/p>\n<p>You may download the Outlook addon from the DataMotion Web Portal. After installation, a <strong>Send Secure<\/strong> button will be available in your Outlook client.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"\/metit\/about\/\">Contact us<\/a> for installation assistance on BU-provisioned devices, or follow the instructions on the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/tech\/services\/cccs\/email\/datamotion\/using\/\">BU IS&amp;T TechWeb<\/a> for installation on personal devices.<\/p>\n<\/dd>\n<\/dl>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The DataMotion SecureMail service is available to BU employees to encrypt sensitive emails.
