Upon becoming a member of the BU community, you will set up your <a href=\"\/metit\/services\/security\/accounts\/\">BU account<\/a> and be provisioned the following:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Students &#8211; Students are provisioned a Google account and can use Gmail for their email.<\/li>\n<li>Employees &#8211; Employees are provisioned a Microsoft Exchange account and can use Outlook for their email.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<hr\/>\n<h4>Support Policy<\/h4>\n<p>MET IT is responsible for the following:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>DataMotion SecureMail Set Up and Guidance<\/li>\n<li>Mailing List Creation and Guidance<\/li>\n<li>Microsoft Outlook Support<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Students who require assistance with Gmail should review the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/tech\/services\/cccs\/email\/google-mail\/\">BU IS&amp;T page<\/a> for support details.<\/p>\n<p>As your BU email is linked to your BU account, support details can be found on our <a href=\"\/metit\/services\/security\/accounts\/\">Accounts<\/a> page.
